Author/Illustrator Visits and Story Time
Jacob Haffner and I love sharing The Squirrel and the Moon with young readers and students. Jacob's background in education, my background in the performing arts, and Jacob's musical talents make us an engaging duo to share this heartwarming story. Our events can be adjusted to fit available time slots and tailored to grades TK-6. The presentation includes a reading of the book, engaging discussion questions, review of vocab words, a behind-the-scenes author and illustrator talk, a musical performance of the song, and a photo opportunity (if desired) with our squirrel puppets. We can do library readings, classroom visits, and assemblies.

"The author visit for the Squirrel and the Moon was so adorable! The author, Jacob, was informative about his process for writing his book, and the illustrator, Clarissa, shared her experience creating the pictures for the book. Both the author and the illustrator had examples of their work from childhood, and also told about how they got interested in writing and illustrating. Our students especially enjoyed the musical version of the book with the squirrel puppets."
